Custom Pinup Sarong Wedding Dress
This was a custom designed dress, there were several elements that my bride was looking for so i did a sketch to put them all together. She chose a light ivory scalloped lace and a more mate bridal satin. I lined the front skirt drape in lace for a little contrast. Sweetheart neckline bodice lining with boning support. Elbow lace sleeves. The dress is fully lined and finished with a matching covered belt.

The Audrey Hepburn Oscar Dress-Custom Variation
This was a custom request based on the Oscar dress worn by Audrey Hepburn. She chose an ivory linen fabric and a lovely cotton embroidered mesh lace fabric. The lace bodice was made as a removable jacket with sleeves. Fully lined in fine tulle with back button and loop closure. So the top could be worn for the ceremony and removed for the reception. I used a vintage buckle kit to make the waist belt which also has the lace overlay. you can check out the original version listing through my Etsy shop Morningstar84 ''Audrey Hepburn Oscar Dress''

Pink 50s Wedding Dress-Simplicity 1461
In the 1950s the dress would have had a more structured skirt, fully interfaced for that full stiff look you see on the pattern envelope, this would have be done in some 1960s skirts as well. But I wanted to go with a softer look.

Audrey Hepburn-1954 Oscar Dress
Above my
take on the lovely 1954 dress. I used ivory Alencon lace with a bridal
weight satin in ivory as the under fabric. The dress is fully lined with
a built in petticoat. The bodice features a sweetheart neckline front
with boning and bra cups and a lace overlay with a boat neckline. Lace
is lined with a light weight netting to support the lace and keep the
edges smooth. double straps in back. Invisible zipper up the back and
matching covered belt. The skirt is a full circle with seams at the
sides and center back. I used two vintage patterns for the dress, one
for the under bodice and one for the lace overlay.
Below Audrey Hepburn recieving her Oscar.
All photos with the morningstar84 watermark my not be used without permission. I do not own any of the other photos they are simple reference images to show my inspiration.

Brocade Pinup Wedding Dress & Bridal Photos
This dress is a full length version of a dress i designed a couple years ago.
It is made of cream/champagne poly brocade fabric with ivory bridal satin, ivory tulle and lace.
I found extra strong bridal invisible zippers. I have never put in an invisible zipper before because they are usually not strong enough to last. So i was happy to find some stronger zippers meant for bridal gowns. The zipper went in pretty easily and since most of the wedding you have your back to the audience I though I would remove that distraction. It is fully lined, cut with a straight skirt and back slit. The bodice has boning to the high hip to keep the silhouette smooth. Bridal photos courtesy of the bride herself they may not be used with out permission.
This dress is available as a custom gown at my Esty shop
