Vintage Hawaiian Dress Restyled Into Pinup Sun Suit

Before a 1960s halter maxi dress, made in Hawaii, originally had a smocked midriff but the elastic had relaxed so i removed the top and added a keyhole to the front neckline, trimmed the top into a bikini adding boning, bra cups and a button closure at the back. I then cut out a high waist short with a drape front out of the skirt fabric. the photos have been lightened to show the pattern, it is a very bright neon orange and yellow stripe print. Now available for sale through my shop

Vintage Revamps

Here are some dresses that were made from vintage skirts or dresses, unfortunately i don't have the before shots for the first four! The others are vintage dresses that had major issues and couldn't be sold the way they were, mostly due to damage, like holes, stains, missing beads, or just too small in the case of the wedding dress. i thought id share some of my past projects, all of these have dresses have been sold, but i have lots more i will be working on in the future, to check out some of my other work you can visit my Etsy Shop Morningstar84
